What a great end to 2011! 12/27/2011
After my wedding hype died down, I had two amazing weddings - Nicole and Sang, and Eryn and Jaime! I've included some photo's below:
The year finished up with a couple of gigs with my friend Julie, as well as the traditional Harmony Singers carols. Although this year there was just one event - at St Francis Hostel Gwelup! Incredible!!! It's already the 5th of October. That means I am getting married myself in three days!!! November is pretty full for me with three weddings. Looking forward to singing at a long-time friend, Nicole's wedding to Sang... as well as two new clients, Eryn and Jaime; Michelle and Jeff... I hope that these last couple of weeks go smoothly for all of you! At this stage I don't have any weddings booked for December, although I will have some carol singing to do closer to Christmas. I've been in the studio recently finishing of some songs for my own wedding... Tom is an absolute genius when it comes to sound engineering!!! As promised, here are some photo's from a performance I did for the Active Participant's Easter Get-Together!! (Bit late I know!!!) Lucy and I had a great afternoon and the crowd were very engaged... we saw some fantastic dance moves!!!       I've FINALLY been in the studio recording songs for my wedding, so hoping they turn out well! Doing a Michael Buble song and an Eva Cassidy song, so can't wait to see how they turn out!! I've also booked the AMAZING Rob Mazoue for some pre-wedding songs and to sing my processional song, so should be a good mix!! Julie and I have also been rehearsing hard getting ready for a gig we have in Ballajura in a couple of weeks! Doing some different songs to my usual "oldies" repertoire, a few sixties and seventies songs, but I'm looking forward to a great night!!! Price rise! 07/02/2011
Happy New Financial Year!!! As promised, there was a slight price rise that came into effect on July 1!!! Not significant, but trying to get in line with other wedding vocalists out there!!! Wow has it really been two months since I've blogged!?? As I promised (or threatened!!!), there will be a price rise at the end of June. But I'll be introducing some new services (including the option of having me record your setlist so you'll have a keepsake of your day! If you have paid a deposit and booked before the end of June, your prices are set. The increase will only apply to new bookings. I've also been updating the website for the first time in 18 months!!! Let me know what you think of the changes! As for the rest of my year, I am booked out for October (with my own wedding and honeymoon), and have November full with a wedding every weekend. I have a couple of functions in August that I've been rehearsing for, so things are going to be busy in the last part of the year! So busy, busy, busy!!! 03/11/2011
I can't believe it's March already! Where has the time gone? I'm booked out for October and November now, but still have a couple of dates in December available, so make sure you don't miss out! There's also likely to be a price rise in June (For people who have already booked and paid a deposit this won't affect you) so if you were thinking about booking, even for 2012, it may be worth saving a few dollars and booking early! I've been working on some new songs: Marry Me - Train I think I wanna Marry You - Bruno Mars/ Glee As well as some classical and traditional songs for a couple of church weddings I have coming up (including my own). I'm also trying to get my own wedding songs ready so that I can head into the studio and record them. I considered a Madonna-inspired microphone headpiece as I walk down the aisle but thought it might detract from the meaning of the day!!!!! November Special! 11/24/2010

I've had a few requests to include prices on the website, so have now added a pricing page! It includes my fees, what services I offer and the "T's and C's" for bookings! I am also offering a special for November - any weddings booked during the month of November will receive a 20% discount, regardless of your wedding date! I performed with the Harmony Singers last week for the Palliative Care Service. It was very moving but also really inspirational. I've also been working on some songs to take into the recording studio, hopefully before the end of the year! Finally becoming "technomological"!! 09/08/2010
 Well the website has been up and running for about eight months now, and I decided to stretch myself and start a blog! I'm sure the excitement will wear off quickly and I'll stop updating it, but just wanted a way to let everyone know of events, news and other exciting stuff!! It's been a big week for me - had a dinner dance on Saturday 4th September where I sang an hour block then performed some duets later in the night (See photo!!) Had some very good feedback including someone offering to pay me to record his songs! Very flattering! Was also great to have family and friends there to support me! Thank you to everyone who came - was so lovely to look out into the crowd and see you there! Today I arrived home to an amazing thank you card from a wedding I did a few months ago. Brought tears to my eyes! It was such a privilege to sing with my best friend for a very special couple! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness! |
